i came up with a easier way to make a better side shifter by using a common heim joint see below ![]() ![]() ![]() this should work! |

How does it shift? Looks like a good idea and a little easier than trying to find the ball and socket thing. I like it. Let us know how it does and someday I may copy it. What did you use for the long bushing? Is it a steering shaft bushing? |

its a 5/8 shaft polished a little with flange bushing i made to fit a peice of pipe i found the shift pattern is tight with the Empi super shifter nick gave me the universals are latest rage china stuff but it aint steering!

Does the pin on the lever slide in the heim joint? |

yes. I used 7/16 heim and tured a "spud" from 1" round bar the 7/16 demesion is undersized to slip through the ball i milled 2 flat and cut a step in it to fit the trans peice an get most weld surface area.
