I am wanting to put an automatic in my daughters buggy,she is 11 and the stick shift isnt working out.i found one in a 60's model bug that is complete real cheap.this particular bug doesn't have a clutch pedal exactly what kind of Automatic is it

It is an auto stick, the shifter has a wire that actuates a dash pot that allows shifting without a clutch. The weak point in these is the torque converter where it attaches to the flex plate. The Speed Shop one of the sponsors of the site specializes in conversions for off-road use.
