Shattered my tranny while i was home this time took out diff and ring and pinion. So i figure i might as well build a second gear climbing trans. What r&p gears will i need and what set of gear clusters for! 1-4 . Already have diff for it. Any info would be appreciated

What do you have motor-wise?
Can't get the 1st& 2nd gear stacks for the 2nd gears hardly at all, Weddle isn't making them. It'll be a couple month wait.

I don't see it being able to pull the gear well. Our 2.2 suby felt about the same as my old 1915 did. 2nd gears trans' pull our hot 2500s down pretty good on a hard pull, on 1250lb. buggies. A high first gear would work real well with the 2.2 though, like a 3.44 or maybe even 3.33 first if ya don't mind to stab the clutch every now and then to bring RPMs back up. And that keeps ya from having to find a 091 5.43 r&p which is getting damn near impossible to find in perfect shape. just my $.02.

I have to agree. A 2.2 subie will not pull a second gear tranny very well. Best off building one with the stock 4.56 R&P and use a 3.44 first. I had this combination in my old buggy (now Kyle's) and it climbed just about everything at Wellsville. My old pump gas stroker only had about 135 to the wheels which is about what you have.
