Well I finished my buggy. Now its time to build it..lol. I have taken out the car tranny and put in a 3 rib. The question is what linkage should I use to connect by car shift rod to the bus tranny. I did not mount the tranny at 10 deg. it is perpendicular to the frame. Should I bend the rod, use u-joint (if so 1 or 2), or use the vertical aluminum connector? Pics would be a plus if somebody has them. Hopefully I will make to Windrock, not to race but meet some of you and trail ride. Thanks.

You could double stack your shifter boxes then cut the shift rod to fit. Then weld it up.

Your right but my e-brake would have to be relocated.

Bend the rod, that's what I do.

You guys have been there and done that. I will stack my shifter. I want something reliable. I just need to figure out where to put my e-brake. Thanks for the input.

i have one thats bent and it shifts fine after i replaced the coupler bushings and pin but the best shifting setup ive had was a u-joint on the end with an aduster welded in on a straight rod and the shift box was mounted on a angle (rear of box was higher than front) that was in the same plane as the rod and used a scat shifter
