Does anyone know the torque specs on the 091 pinion nut. I've got the cromo nut, does anyone use anything extra to lock down the nut. (loctite). Also I'm missing the half moon keeper on the bearing in the center section. Anyone want to drop one in the mail? Thanks

160 ft lbs. for stock, I usually tighten the chromo one to 180 or so.
Blue locktite
Find a washer the right diameter and thickness, then grind or saw it in the shape of the half moon keeper.

You are running a weddle mainshaft, arent you? For some reason I dont think you need the half moon piece in it with a bolt on mainshaft. Run that pinion nut on as tight as you impact will run it. Make damn sure the bearing is seated on the otherside first or you'll spin the bearing and tear the locks out! very easy to do

I do not believe that 180 is enough for performance applications. 250 is better, imo. I have seen many of these get loose and under torquing is most likely the problem. Yes, use loctite too. The loctite can make it a pain to get the nut back off, but it is better to deal with that then have the nut come loose...You may also read that 240 is the spec for flywheel gland nuts.. If you have a quality crank and good nut, then go to 350 and the flywheel will hold...just my 2 cents worth..
