Just put new weddel gears in and if I'm moving when I try to shift into 2nd it try's to go into reverse if I'm at a stop it will go right into second. First third and forth are fine any advice or ideas what may be wrong trying to get it fixed before wellsville.

Shifter out of adjustment and/or the reverse lock out plate is installed incorrectly under the shifter........

No tried all that never moved it old six rib was great then I blew out first and put new first and second in now it's trying to go into 2 gears at once when Im moving if I'm at a stop it will go into second going to tear it all the way back down and try again.

I have never been lucky enough to put a different trans in and not have to adjust my reverse lock out plate. If its not that, then youll have to take it back apart and re adjust your shift forks.
