Post subject:  Another CV Question

I am currently running stock 002 CV's but I have an angle issue. My current angle is 19 degrees which is a degree over max for these CV's. My question is has anyone run any of the 002 EMPI high angle CV's. They state they are good to 25 degrees which would obviously work for my problem. I am just trying to save some money from jumping to 930's if at all possible. I found them on Dan's Performance but wasnt sure what kind of quality they would be.

The motor I am running is a 1915 with dual 40's with a 3 rib trans.

Are you having a problem with them breaking now? On my old buggy I ran 002 with a bit of excess angle without problems. Go old stock GKN/Lobro off a bus are usually worn good and get a bit more angle allowing them to be a bit more forgiving.

You could also run some limit straps. That would be cheaper, easier, and less "risky" than some empi cv's.

Old german bus cvs with hardened cages, and polish them, they will take more angle.
19 degrees at full droop?
