Post subject:  Couple sedan to 002 questions

Got a three rib 002 I plan on hooking up on my buggy.

I have a few questions though.

#1 I have read a few times that the input shaft on the 002 is longer than a type 1 trans. I read it as being about 1/2" longer. But when I measure the difference between my two transmissions I get more like an 1/8 difference.

My measuring technique.

#2 which throw out bearing should I use? My 74' sedan bearing (Which is much cleaner, and rolls better), or the one that came on my used bus trans.
There are some minor visible differences.

I've got the throw out bearing thing all figured out. So never mind on that question. And I'm pretty sure its the 091 that has a 1/2 long input shaft that needs to be shortened.

Same throw out bearing... No mod to the shaft needed.

its the 091 shaft that is longer than the 002 or sedan.
