i have a stock 456 and want to change it to something lower other than 542 what can i put in it will a side shift 486 work being they are 091 |

I see what your sayin but what are you after? Wheel speed, just lower gearing, maybe try running a shorter tire to put more power to the ground? |

I believe most of you southern boys would run 40's if you could get the gearing,I like Chris comment,a lower first and second would be another option.Chad |

Not sure but isn't the 5.42 stronger than say a lower ring,just curious if it is the gears would be better to change.this a good question Jesse.Chad |

5.42 is the third strongest stock ratio, only 4.86 and 4.57 are stronger. |
