might wanna get some deeper gears for that 6rib..... my 1915 don't run mine around on the trails well... hills its nice cause the wheelspeed but that 1776 will have issues... go mid engine 4.3 dave.... just to be different.... if someone makes an adapter to shift that nosecone 6rib in mid engine configuration i just might do it myself....

you will have 4 reverse gears and 1 forward

there is a lot of modifications to the tranny needed to even attempt this setup not to mention a "one off" adapter plate to mate the engine and tranny to one another, personally i wouldnt even try it with a bus tranny

if i wanted a mid engine vw setup it would have to be a "built" car tranny since the only mod would be flipping the ring gear, but thats just my opinion

my next post is gonna read"how to build a STROKER to push this 6 rib :D got a 3 rib for the 1776, off road rack, 3x3 arms, and its done! this 6 rib is the start of my NEW , BRAND NEW BUGGY 8) when i aquire enough parts and the frame ill start a buggy build thread. im just showin off all my ribs!ha the wife said its christmas time and all im worried about are acorns and ribs!!!! i gave her $500 and she hasnt event looked at the trannys since! lets just say im stocking up for christmas :mrgreen:

cant drive and wont fix the one you have now....wtf... u gonna have 2 bugs that dont run. part em out,i could use that 6 rib with my 2276
