Has anyone welded the side gears in the tranny for posi? Would the cutter brake still work the same or would it put more tensions on the tranny by welding them? |

If this is in a buggy ridden in the woods,DON'T do it. It won't turn worth a damn, especially if its muddy. You steering brakes will be useless as well. |

This works good at the drag strip but, it will eventually break. yea in the woods it will prolly push the front end so bad you can't drive it but in a straight line |

Now plumber bill and Odyknuck have peliquin limited slip diffs in theirs. Cutters work as long as you are not under power. But locked like a posi under throttle. But they have heavier buggies with "I believe" a heavier front weight bias. Which means compared to say a light weight single seater they have much more steering control with their front wheels, and less need for the cutters. |
