Have a mid shift tranny will be mating to a 1641 stock flywheel
Can I just use the stock vanagon clutch and pp
This will just be till I can find a worthy suby donor car so don't really care bout performance
Wrong place to ask but what about longer case studs for engine mounting?

i dont believe the clutch from the vanaon will work. it should be 220mm where the car is 200mm. i am not 100% sure it will not bolt up and work though

I have heard of it being done but you need all the parts to match,,,I think,,,,flywheel,,clutch,,and pressure plate,,bigger foot,,,and good cable or hydraulics. Not sure it is worth the trouble if you don't have all the right parts. Or the ability to machine to match. It might be easier to go to a Kennedy stage 2, 3, or even 4 PP with a good 6 puck or whatever your preference on disc's. But I am easily proven wrong,,,good luck.

Can i go with a 200mm clutch on the midshift or is my only option 220mm
just want to get it together cheap while there is still good weather to ride
will be using a kennedy adapter kit this winter for suby install and then will worry about what works best right now i just want it to work

The 200 mm will fit and work fine and is the cheapest route also. Much more common parts too.

Thanks! So 200mm disc and pp but are all 6 ribs clutch components the same or do I need vanagon specific parts

use the appropriate cross shaft,,,the stock hydraulic uses a specific design,,,match your bell housing to the starter you intend to use.

You can order the kennedy adapter 200mm or 220mm . I would by a 200mm kenndy stage 2or 3 and 6 puck & run it for now and when you get the suby you will have the clutch pad for.
