Bought a rolling chassis last weekend and installing my tranny most of the CV bolts were nearly stripped and some were missing so im replacing them. What is proper torque?

I am sure there is a more formal answer but mine are pretty tight. However, you can only crank on an allan head or torx so hard so I also use lock tight on all of mine.

I torque mine to 45 foot pounds for a 930 joint. Some people dont know it, but if you torque your cv bolts, they wont fall out

As above, normally torque ours to 45lbft (clean and greased) or 55lbft if dry/dirty.

I make mine tight, but not too tight. and just check them regularly while out riding. This keeps me from having stripped out heads when something does break. But to everyone their own.
