hey i just bought a buggy and it shifts into gear but when i gas it alot it just seems like its goes no where can i adjust the clutch or is the slave sylinder bad or just the clutch is no good ...........i am new to this bug stuff but always been working on and around cars |

Need a little more info.. Is the engine reving up and the buggy is not moving at all? Do you have a cable clutch? Is there any play or slack in the cable when the clutch in not engaged. Have you tried any other gears other than 1st? |

the buggy moves fine if u ease into it but when u punch it it just revs .... its a hydraulic clutch where the line runs into the cylinder in the back im guys slave cylinder ??? its real sloppy moves all around |

sounds like the clutch and pressure plate are toast, unless the adjustment is too tight, also a fair amount of "slop" as you called it is common, just make sure the lower mount is tight to the tranny and has both nuts/studs on them and the clutch arm at the bellhousing should have about 1/4" of "play" before it engages the pp although it will be stiff to move by hand it can be done |
