I got my 6rib off suby steve last year. It whines pretty loud in reverse But it works good lol. Mine will also pop out every so often, BUT its a vw trans reverse gets babied anyways, and for the price i paid for mine from steve I wouldnt complain if reverse did blow lol. Check your linkage, My old 3rib wouldnt go in reverse I took everythin apart , put it back together and adjustd and it worked great.

It takes very little abuse to gut any vw reverse except the waterboxer 094 reverse.

True and if it wasnt in adjustment it wouldnt take nothing to finish it off. I looked in the bell and the reverse gears were all working and there when I droped it off to you.

try unhooking the linkage and then shifting it into rev. with a pair of visegrips.then youll know for sure if its the tranny or not.
