Currently I am running a Beeline Cobra 2 seat with a 3 rib/ 1600 DP combination and was thinking of increasing my engine, but don't want to destroy my transmission with too much power. What power range can the 3 rib transmission handle and what displacment would be a good combination for my transmission?

Im running a 2276 and a 3rib...have had no problems...but I am currently upgrading to a 6 rib w/ super diff...3ribs are great..just low geared...A 3rib should do you just fine...just my opinion.

You can break a 3 rib with a 1600 and a heavy foot, and you could run a 2500 with a 3 rib for 10 years with out breaking it if your easy on it. Honestly I broke more transmissions with a 1915 than I did with a 2332. With a 1915 i was higher in the revs, and with the 2332 I stayed low and easy with the revs. It really comes down to how you drive.
