When I put it in first gear it feels like it is barley catching . linkage is adjusted right. And it is not popping out yet. Does this sound like syncros need replaced or something else.

Is your set screw on the shifter linkage loose?

Thanks for the response passat. You were just about right. I took it apart and found one of the front mount bolts broke off and the other one was loose. couldnt get the broken one out. Ef'd it up with a drill and easy (hard) out. So does any one have a five rib nosecone for sale?

a 3 rib nose cone will work also, they are both 002

even certain 091 nose cones will work but on some you also need the hockey stick to go along with it due to the fact that some have brass bushings while others have needle bearings and there is a difference in the "hardening" of the the 2 hockey sticks, other than that all nose cone shift tranny hockey stick and nose cones will interchange regardless of 3, 5, or 6 rib

also while the nose cone is off you might want to check the "ball" that one end of the hockey stick goes in, the plastic ones are bad to wear out and cause shifting issues, although some are metal and are a lot better imo

can you not finish drilling it out and stick a bolt threw it thats what i had to do to mine due too the whole was wallerd out...

Drill hole bigger tap out put a stud in it makes it easier to line up when taking in and out

Hey AB are you saying drill the hole all the way thru and put the bolt in from the inside. I thought about that but havent taken it off yet and didnt know if there was room in there for a bolt head.
