looking for advice on building some transmissions. i have a few broken 3 ribs and 5 ribs that need to be fixed. i have already made some tools to swap out the diffs in these trans. i now have bought pinion socket so i can dig in to these trannys a little deeper. i am going to use one of the three ribs to cut a window for adjusting shifters but not sure what one to use. i can not see any visiable differeances other than where the bell housing bolts on one has studs and other has bolts. any advice on which trans case to cut the window in?

My choice for 1 to cut would be a 3rib that uses bolts from the outside to secure the reverse idler bearing and the big mainshaft bearing. One of those cases can be identified by a bump [where the bolt goes in] on one of the side ribs on starter side.
