Hey guys, haven't been on here in a while, but I'm back to trying to get my buggy into shape again, and hopefully get it street legal.

One of my biggest problems was getting the brakes bled, but I have decided that it's my cutting brakes giving me problems. I think one of the seals is messed up. It's an old Neal dual handle cutting brake.

Now, my question is, how do you get this thing apart?! Has anyone done this?

Some have an set screw or a snap ring that hold the piston stop in. Some are just threaded in and you have to jam a screw driver between the rod and stopper and unscrew it. Some have both.

Thanks man. I got them apart. The "stopper" ended up just being threaded in. Lucky they weren't too tight, or else I don't know how the heck they would come out with just a screwdriver like that!

Did you find any damage to the seals? I had a dual Jammar cutter that had a hole cross drilled between the two bores and it chewed up the seals. I ended up running a small wheel cylinder hone through it to make sure it was deburred.

Wow, that's weird. Yes, the handle that was giving me fits had a seal that was demolished (the rearmost seal that is at the end of the spring). The other seals looked fine, but it will all be replaced once I finally get my rebuild kit from CB performance.
