Can anybody please help me identify these rear rotors! When i pulled my wheel off i found a big crack between the studs. I still have the piece but i would rather not have it welded because it is cast and my buggy does see a lot of street use as well as off road.Now keep in mind that these may have had some machine work done to them (eg: holes drilled, material removed, whatever.) I just need to know if there is something similar that will bolt up to the hubs. Any help is greatly appreciated, the calipers are not anything special basically the econo calipers. Please help me out.

Looks like standard 4 lug rotor with an adapter atached.

Could be a set of 914 rotors and drives. That's what I run.

If this is a standard rotor i have never seen one like it nor has some of my buddy's in the v dub world.As for the adapter there is not one, that is all one piece!The standard 4 lug brakes that i have seen are splined in the middle for the stub axle, this rotor bolts to a hub.

wide 5 rotors modified to bolt to a hub?

What's the PCD of the bolt holes and the centre bore?
I've a few disc libaries here.

I feel like an idiot asking this question because i probably should know this but what are you talking about when you say PCD.This is VW wide five pattern and don't seem to have been modified and they most likely are an older set up because the buggy has been around a while.Oh yea one more thing the hub on the trailing arm does have VW stamped on it! I really do want to get this sucker put back together and this is one of the things holding me up.

The top two pics look like the setup that was on my old buggy when I got it. I was told it was a some old volvo rotor slipped over a stock vw drum/hub that was turned down until there was nothing but the hub left. You could tell on my old rotors where they had reamed out the lug holes a lil to match the vw pattern. And I believe Nitro is right, the third pic shows just a 4 to 5 adapter added on.

Diameter the centres of the holes are drilled on.

isn't it just a turned down old drum with a hat? I used to drill all my rotors out like that! PITA!!!

The Porsche 914 has the rotor hat and drive set up like that. That's what it looks like to me. I have the same set-up on mine, diferent adaptor plate.

I agree with Mike. I had that setup on the Duck. The only difference was the Rotors were not drilled.

I had a set up like this on a Baja bug the P.O. had welded a 4 to 5 lug adapter to the rotor hat so he could run wide 5's all the way around and still use an IRS trans. Thanks Dave T
