All depends on how much you want to spend. As I recall the later model VW disk brakes are 4 lug. I dont think they had them OEM for 5 lug however there are suppliers like Jamar, CNC,Neil and china repops avalable. Here is a bolt on set :

We are putting ball joint roters on link pin beams. You'll need 4 bolt wheels or adaptors, couple of sets of bearings and some machine work to make it work. I run them and they work great. If your interested?

I think I bought mine form California Imports.. I think I paid $ 180 or so for the entire bolt on kit..

You need to be careful having disc brakes up front. I would recommend a separate handle for the front brake or at least a proportional valve to reduce the pressure in the front.

If you do not reduce the pressure in the front your front tires will lock up while you are trying to back down a hill and you will have NO steering. I know this from experience..

The front brakes should be on a seperate handle at all times for offroad buggys. Even a proportioning valve will not reduce the front braking enough to be safe., my proportioning valve set with least to front is just right for on the road.

Well I also plan to steel (I believe) Firebugs idea and use a cpl of ballvalves to shutoff the pedel in the dirt.

I use a ball valve on mine and has been good for me so far. My car sees alot of street use so a seperate handle wouldnt do. I have stock drums on the front and they work just fine for me. I do have discs in the rear with 4 piston calipers.

You can actually have both,,with the use of some ball valves to re-direct the hydraulic brake lines.
