I noticed this weekend while i was riding, my brakes dont hold me on a hill like i want. I have a set of late 90's? monte carlo calipers. If i were to use them is there any real special way i need to mount them? & also do i need to change my rotars?

The front brakes off a early '80's Nissan Sentra work great. They are small, easy to mount, and have a bracket that allows them to "float". Pads are cheap and easy to change, plus they work with a wide range of rotor sizes with a little clearance done with a die grinder.

Sentras are definately the way to go if you aint buying high dollar calipers. I even know some that like the Sentras BETTER than Wilwoods. They do have less "sponge" to them , but fade faster.

Make sure that they are a floating caliper and can be fitted over your rotor. If they don't float on a pin they WILL get broke off. No reason that you can't use them, I've seen them off of a 1ton chevy truck on a buggy.

There are a few guys using them with the solid rotors with no problems. I would recomend sentra calipers, I love mine!

Looks just like the Corolla calipers I use. Mine work fine,,maybe a tad heavy compared to nissan but I like them.
