I have a 10lb with disc brakes. I pressure bled everything, took the calipers off to bleed and worked great until the first trip out. Now I have to pump them once to work. I remember reading that I might have to bleed them once more after riding so that’s my next step. My old buggy has a 2lb and it worked fine after bleeding the shit out of it. They also sell a 4lb just to let you know.

I would not consider 2psi in your brake lines a lot of pressure considering when they are applied the pressure can be as high as 1200 PSI. The residual valve is only there to keep the fluid from draining back to the master when its lower than the wheel cylinder(S) and or calipers.

I notice that I can pump once and then have good brakes,,,,I figured the pressure is slow to equalize and that little added pressure is just the ticket,,I got one coming and will find out soon,,

hay bug did you take your calb. loose and turn it to where the bleader is directley above the break line when you blead them? we had the same thing happen to us and bought a new master then new cutters then new lines then one on thoes vales. nothing worked. talked to larry who told us to try turning the calb. rock solid. make sure you put something between the pads.

My bleeders are already on top. I have had much better brakes in the past at times,,just some stubborn air pockets I guess.

Jack up the end you want to bleed and leave it set overnight can help in some cases with air pockets. It allows the air to migrate to the calipers or wheel cylinders.

Why does it have a 1/8npt to 3/16 inverted flare on one end and that other thing on the other end? can I put the 1/8 npt to 3/16 inverted flare on both ends so it is ready for a new brake line?

The 2lb I bought had a male 1/8npt on one side and a 1/8npt to 3/16 inverted flare on the other. That way you can just screw it into the master cylinder and hook the brake line to it.

The 10lb was an inline version; it had 1/8npt to 3/16 inverted flares on both ends so you could just put it inline. I took one of the inverted adaptors off and put a 1/8npt nipple on and threaded it into the master cylinder. You can also get the nipples with 90 degrees.

The one you have looks like it is a compression fitting or something for a plastic line on the one end.

Is it like this?

This is what the 10lb i have looked like but mine had two 3/16 adaptors in it.

Now that I looked at your message again a simple answer is yes, I think. It looks like the one end has different threads than the other in the picture I posted, unless it’s an optical illusion.

So I can put the 1/8npt to 3/16 inverted flare on both ends and put it inline with new line,,cool,,,I am going to put a ball vave in too for a line lock while I am at it.
