This is what I'm using for a line lock. I'm thinking that the fittings are gonna leak because the flare doesn't have anything to mate up to. Do I have the right fittings? It's a 1/4 ball valve from the hardware store with a reducing bushing down to the brake line fittings.

Yeah you'll probably have a problem with that brake line fitting screwed into a pipe fitting.

You need fittings like on this page.
Screw the appropriate fitting into the bushing and hten the brakeline into it.
If you can't find anything local, I keep 884 and 896 which is 1/8" pipe to metric bubble flare if that would help you.

CNC American and metric brake line fittings

Thanks Gary! i knew that couldn't be right when I put it together. I did have the plunger type line lock and read about a few problems with them so decided to do the ball valve. Shooting for D&K for the fourth so I will just put on the regular line lock this weekend and see if I can get them bled out.

Make sure the ball valve is rated for high presure. Most are only rated for 150 or 350 PSI WOG. your brake system produces a whole lot more pressure.
