I have access to the disc brakes off a '71 914 and was wondering if they would fit anything VW and if so what years and what types---BJ or LP--IRS or SA.....Thanks guys

I have used the rear hat style rotors on the rear of my old buggy. If that helps at all |

I agree. The rear rotors can be easily used for an inexpensive disc brake conversion.

I was in the shop saturday just messing around and decided to take the brakes off the rear trailing arm of the 914---got to wonderin' if the rotors and calipers would fit on a VW trailing arm--I'll get in the shop and take the VW arms apart and see what fits..if it does I'll just have to rebuild the calipers....thanx guys |

The 914 front rotor bolts right onto a ball joint spindle. You would of course have to come up with a caliper mount. John |
