 Post subject: turning breaks

I just bought a single handle system,it says "for drum breaks"I have drum breaks now so thats good,but I'd like to upgrade to disc later,can I use this same handle?what is the difference? Thanks to everyone for your help.

The ones for drum brakes have a smaller bore, I think 5/8". The ones for disc brakes have a 3/4" bore. That's the only difference. If you change over to disc brakes you may have to pull the handle a little farther to get the brakes to lock, but they will work fine and actually be easier to pull.

thanks for the info, I was worried I thew another $100 bucks,but for the price I can pull a little further.thanks again.
