Post subject:  metric bubble flare to standard adapter
Anyone sell an adapter to convert metric bubble flare to standard. Some of my brake parts are standard and others are metric. I would like to run all standard lines since they are easier to cut and re-flare. Would like to find an online source if possible.

I did the same thing running all my lines standard. Advance auto and autozone both have adapters.

try napa too, they usually have the fittings out on the floor and you can dig throuhg them easier.

i got all my lines and adapters from advance auto they should have what you need depends on which store is closest to you i started out with a single flare for a corvair master cylinder and went through a adapter to connect to volkswagon wheel cylinders but just recently put disc on it

You don't really need an adapter. If you have a bubble flare caliper or other bubble flare fitting, just buy the correct line to fit it, then cut it to length and flare the other end with a single standard flare. I always buy extra short pieces of standard single flare line, then cut one of the ends off to get the screw in fitting to use on the other end of the bubble flared line that gets the single flare. This way you can cut all of your hard lines to length and it makes it look much cleaner and you don't need any adapters. I hope this makes sense.

I used all metric lines on my last rail and it turned out nice but I bought each piece of line to fit. I think I only cut two lines and re-flared to a standard flare. It is just harder to find the metric line so I thought I would just convert everything to standard. That way if I have a problem somewhere I can just bring a piece of line and a flaring tool. I have never used a metric flaring tool but I guess I could buy one and do it that way too. Here is my last buggies brake line set-up, all metric.
