I built my own rear disc setup, and later did the front disc as well.I use Toyota Corolla calipers all around and I love my stopping power. Here is where I got information for my brakes,,,Eric Debord was a big help also. http://www.blindchickenracing.com/How_t ... brakes.htm |

Another great cheap way is the Porsche 914 Rear brake rotor. It has the same bolt pattern as the 4 lug VW and does not need re-drilled. The center for it can use a machined down VW drum. |

i also heard that there is a chevy caliper u can get from advanced auto for $14 but do not know the year they say all u got to do is double up pads and it will work and fab your own mounting bracket any one know the year of the truk it was on |

i used toyota front4x4 puckup 4 piston on mine year85 i think work great fab my mounts 2inch angle about 60 bucks |

There several out there you can use,depends on you fab skills,Ive ran 4 piston volvo,chevy metric,vw bus and alot of people run the nissan sentra calipre.Tim at southern buggys in london ky. has a willwood knock off that is top notch and is easy to mount |

jason (RIDGERUNNER) gave me a set up a month or two ago you have to make your own bracket machine your stock vw hub down and drill the holes to line up to the 4 bolt vw pattern but what he gave me as far as a set up goes is 03 saturn kia calipers and pads and 93-94 jeep cherokee rear rotors or 93-94 s-10 he was not sure but i think the s-10 had rear drums those years but the jeep had disc i could be wrong but thats what i have i have only had 1 ride on them but they work allot better than those drums |

Saturn's american, Kia is Asian. Both are manufacturers, not models.

I use front nissan sentra calipers their about $40 bucks a piece from auto zone(with a core)if you could find some in a junkyard and use those as a core.You can buy the discs for about $30 to $40 bucks a piece make sure you torque them to 250 ft# or better or you`ll strip the splines right out and you will have no worries about brakes failing. aaron |

sorry i went by what it said on the paper and never owned a saturn or kia and deffinetly are not familiar with either but it is one or the other with jeep cherokee rear rotors in the mid 90's |
