I know this isn't what your looking for Mike. Couple of good reasons NOT to use car parts, try to save you some aggravation.

Hey Mike! I know and appreciate what your saying (cry once) but I'm broke and already have all the parts to do it...also if you bend one like in the pics you posted it's only $75 for another from the junkyard :)
And only need to run a couple lines for power steering down the road.... 8)

Do not run a end load rack like in the pics I have one in buggy now the bump steer is horrible almost impossible to get to work descent, if your set on a car rack look into one from a early 90s grand am (I think) there a lot alike but there center load so you use long tie rods and are able to mount it close to the beam to eliminate bump steer. I think big d smith is running one you will have to fab a little to get tie rods to bolt on in the right spot but way easier than the bull I went through with this end load rack. Please save yourself the aggravation that I've already went through and forget the end load rack.

Imaged

Not the best picture. I cut turned and welded mine so I can mount on the front of my beam.

Been running mine for 2 years no problems. Very little to no bump steer, just put 400 road miles on it last weekend. I believe mine was off a 04. Im running stock link pin. I cut the rods back a few inches then drilled out some round stock the drill size for 5/8-18 was the size of the rod welded it on and I used heim joints.

Mines a 1995 Grand Am. Made a "u" shape 3/16" thick channel. Bolted to front of rack then bolted tie rods to the other side. That way rack is bolted against the torsion. Works pretty good.

I remember now. I didnt use a steering universal joint out of the Rack. So I needed more
clearance under the steering coupler. If I used a u joint I could have twisted the rack up and it would have cleared the tie rod.

Under full suspension compression the tie rod would barely hit the steering coupler.
