Is there a larger bore master cylinder from some other car I can pick up from autozone that works well? 1" Bore? or what size? Have seen others talk about upgrading to a larger bore MC on here. Not really interested in ordering something after market off the web like wilwood or anything. (Unless that is the best and most advised way to go). Just seems like since it's a buggy and I can fab any mount I want, I should be able to pick up something for like a 95' ford or something.

My buggy has one off a Chevy S-10 that works good.

I didn't measure but that sound about right. I reversed the lines on mc from how they were in s10 to get more stopping power to the rear.Image

The larger bore has less pressure but more volume. What type calipers are you running and is this for rears only or for fronts also? You running cutters? What your running should determine what bore you will want. You can get a good wilwood for about the same money and is a better mc IMO. Check out poskes.com Dave poskes. Great people to deal with and if you order early you may get same day or for sure next depending on where you live I guess. Chad

Thanks psycho. Looks like you used adapters to get to 1/8th fittings.
Thanks gas. I have 4 lug drum brakes all the way around and a cheap cnc knock-off single handle cutting brake. I've been struggling mightily to get my breaks working. Bout to rebuild all the cylinders in each wheel, was thinking of getting a bigger bore MC, some 10lbs residual valves. And making my own pressure bleeder and seeing if all that can get me where I can stop.

You may want to scrap the rears and get some discs for back there, I had rear drums the first time I ever went into the woods with a buggy and almost ended extremely bad, if you set it up with disc brakes in the rear you will love them. You should be able to get what you need from the auto parts store heard of a lot of people doing that. Good luck and not trying to tell ya what to do just trying to save you from wasting effort.

I'd run a stock mc if your running drums. If you got a heavy foot and pushing that much fluid you may blow the wheel cylinders. Chad

Welp. Spent time working on them again today... I thought I had adjusted the pads already, but apparently I hadn't. Did that and obviously it's much better. Still might invest in some 10lbs residual valves. But the utter lack of brake I was experiencing was mostly user error.
