I use a stock single piston, single reservoir with my 4 wheel disc brakes. If I use all 4 wheels on the pedal the front brake lines goes through a proportioning valve. If I use a separate pedal or handle for the front I use a separate master cylinder . With a couple of ball valves I can go from 4 wheel disc on the foot pedal ( I used to use this on the street) to separate, rear on the pedal and front on the hand lever. I use a clutch master cylinder off of a maxima for the front with a home made lever. Sounds confusing I know. I could send pics if you like. good luck
