I am using a EPS unit off a GM car, by far the cheapest way. Picked up two for $75 of a buddy at local junk yard.
I am planning on posting pics and details the installation on here.

The unit installs on steering shaft between steering wheel and rack, so you can use whatever rack and pinion or steering box you are currently running.:)
The unit is in the steering colum in the car.

There may be others but these are the ones I know of.

Chevrolet Equinox - from 2005 to 2007
Pontiac Torrent
Saturn Ion - from 2003 to 2006 - only in steering column with metal ECU case.

My buggy is light so I don't think I need power steering, I'm just doing it to stop wheel from ripping out of my hand and bending shit from folding tires in!

You can buy "plug and play" control boxes for them. But I haven't tried them out yet. I'm going to order one for reference and change some things about it or build my own.

If you can make it work it would be alot cheaper then aftermarket.do you know the wattage of the motor and do you think moisture will be a issue?

Yep about $500 cheaper :)
Not sure wattage is.
I don't think mud and water will be a issue, looks to be sealed up good.

Well it begins.... Friend took all 3 of the units I had to make brackets to mount them. Controllers are on the way too. So I should have some install pics next week :)
Now I have to find 3-4 more units because our whole group wants them!

I may try one of these but I do find it interesting on one of the comments

These steering columns can have two problems:
• It can be slightly softer to turn left than right (or the opposite).
• When you turn steering wheel, the steering system can turn off without explanation.
These two problems are easily repairable. You don´t need to spend money to solve them. For those who buy this controller box will have for free a guide to solve these two problems.
