I've got a cnc turning brake and one half of it seems to stick on and you have to relieve pressure to release it Any ideas?

Does the one side brake lock up and won't release when that happens?
Does the same side brake seem to stick when you use the foot brake?
If both is happening, it might be the rubber line on that side.
If they are original VW they have a tendency to collapse internally.
The act like a check valve when that happens.
Fluid will go through the line with brake pressure but won't return, making that side brake drag.

I had that problem once and it was the handle that needed adjusted. When i hit the brakes the handle was putting pressure on it enough to not let it release, but when I moved the handle it would release. Make sure there is a little play between handle and the rod that pushes the plunger for the steering brake. Good luck!

well i fixed the turning brake. there is a check valve inside each cylinder that has a spring washer. i just removed that and it seems to work fine!
