My 68 Karmann Ghia has disc brakes. I always used to buy pad for a 71 ghia when I had vw calipers on my buggy. You just need to make sure you have spindles for a disc because drum spindles are different. |

How do I tell the difference? |

I believe the diameter of the spindle is larger for the disc bearings. Not sure the exact size. If it is wrong the bearings for the rotor will fit loose on the spindle. |

I ended up getting rotors and bearing for a 74 super beetle and it worked great. Just fabed up a caliber bracket and welded it too the steering knuckle. Only problem I had was my adapter wouldnt clear the outside of the caliber but I dont think it will be a issue since I will run spacers anyways. |

I wouldn't go crazy with the spacers on the front. Taking the wheel too far from the steering axis will make it wanna jerk the steering wheel out of your hands over bumps. |

I have too run a 5/8 spacer on the front since I went too new 16" aluminum rims and 7x16 v treads. If I turn really sharp the lugs will hit the frame. |

x2 on offsetting the wheels. I had offset aftermarket wheels on the front and couldn't keep the steering wheel in my hand when I ran over a big rock or hit a big rut. Plus I couldn't keep a steering box on. the only way to go is stock wheels with no spacing unless you beef up the rest of the steering system and have power steering. |
