So I'm trying to figure out what I need to replace on my new IRS torsion suspension. I do not have any info on what it came out of to help with figuring out what parts I can replace the missing ones with and I have no previous experience with IRS So I need some help.
The brake backing plates and bearing caps are missing yet the bearings and spacers seem to be all present. I plan to eventually get all new bearings but for now I'll use what I have but I plan on picking up replacement seals.
What I need to know is:
Will the backing plates and brake hardware work off my 67 swing?
and what about the bearing cap?
If not on the bearing cap then anyone have a good source for an OEM quality replacement. I usually go to Appletree since it's 'nearbye', but they don't seem to have anything that looks real sturdy.
