They will work but expect to replace it, they are notorious for leaking. Wildwood makes one that is far better

They all can be dangerous. Keep them in gear as well. Any leak in it or the entire system from it back to the brakes will release it suddenly. It may sit for an hour but then ,pop, and there it runs thru the crowd. Back in '86 I took mine off and NEVER ran another after an incident I had. Don't even rely on it as a back up with it in gear. You may love and love and love it and thru time your motor compression gets low and pop and there it goes thru the neighbors flowers... wait a tic. where can I get one! lol

I used one once and it locked the brakes and I had to loosen up the brake line to get it unlocked. Causes to many issues IMHO!

What about using a ball valve?
Any body try that?
I know that some of you guys use one to shut off the front brakes.
Pump the brake, hold the pedal down and turn the valve.
Do you think that would work?

Gotta ball valve on mine , just added over winter. works awesome cheap too. So far so good, although I will never trust it for a long period of time.

I would not suggest using swage lock fitting in a hydronic brake systems as they are not designed for the pressures.
