Post subject: | Spilled oil on my brakes |
Alright, bout 2months ago I spilled motor oil on my driver side rear caliper, pads etc...after i bleed the brakes from replacing a line, that side just will not work right. Went riding for a weekend thinking it would maybe get better, stilll not right. Think the oil ruined the pads? |

yup...had same problem on my powerstroke...got tranny fluid on passenger side when cooler line broke....new pads and rotor turned did the trick |

Do not get them too hot as it will make them crumble. BTW do not breath the fumes. |

alright ill just get some new pads. havent changed them in 4yrs anyways lol |

We used to munch a set per meeting or two, no matter what we used, switched to XP8's and the same set are still in the front 18 months later... |

soak em in gas for a few hours then let them dry in the sun. Or just spray em good with brake parts cleaner and ley it go. They'll shape up. |

ill try that before i get new ones. Ody, when ya dont drive a tank the brakes last a lil longer!!! PLus i dont do 90mph down the trails so brakes get little abuse haha |
