Official Hill Climb Rules and Regulations

Qualifying

  1. Each driver can complete 2 qualifying runs, Best Time Counts.
  2. Based on qualifying times, drivers will be divided equally into two classes: Class A and Class B
  3. In the event of an odd middle man, middle man will be allowed to choose Class A or Class B
  4. Competitors have the option to pay an additional $15 to moved up to Class A
  5. Additional $15 upgrade fees will be applied to the Total Payout for the Final Event at D&K.

Scoring and Payout

  1. Class A and Class B will each complete 2 official race runs. Best Time Counts
  2. Winner of Class B will be determined by averaging the Best Qualifying Time and the Best Race Time.
  3. Winner of Class A will be determined by the Best Race Time.
  4. “Total Payout” will consist of all entry fees plus additional sponsored cash.
  5. “Total Payout” will be divided by Class: Class A gets 60%, Class B gets 30% and 10% is reserved for Final Event.
  6. Competitor Payout will be calculated by respective Class Totals: first 40%, second 30%, third 20%, fourth 10%
  7. 10% reserved fund will be applied to the “Total Payout” of the final event

Championship Points

  1. Each driver must be a WoodsBuggy.com member to be awarded points
  2. Points awarded for Class A drivers: first 100, second 95, third 90, fourth 85.... all the way until 60 points, all other drivers in Class A get 60 points each.
  3. Points awarded for Class B drivers: first 50, second 45, third 40, fourth 35.... all the way until 10 points, all other drivers in Class B get 10 points each.
  4. Championship Point Winner will be determined by the Total Points from the best 4 events (at least 3 different parks)
  5. Championship Points Winners will receive a Trophy and Bragging Rights (No Money)
  6. Additional Prizes will be raffled at the Final Championship Race - To Qualify you must be present at the final Championship Race and you must have competed in at least 3 races (1 ticket per race)

DNF (Did Not Finish) Rules

  1. A DNF time is calculated for each qualifying run and official race run by taking the slowest time and adding 1 second
  2. Once the entire vehicle crosses the start line, the run counts
  3. If vehicle breaks down during a run or does not finish the race, driver is given a DNF
  4. No rut digging.. Once forward motion stops, run is over and the driver is given a DNF
  5. If the driver hits a tree and backs up, the driver can continue the race
  6. If vehicle breaks down at the starting line, drive is allowed to move to the back of the line for that respective race.
  7. When all other drivers are finished in the respective race, 5 additional minutes will be allotted for vehicle repairs
  8. If vehicle can not compete after 5 minute repair time, driver is given a DNF.

Additional Rules and Regulations

  1. All drivers must register and pay a $25 entry fee for each event
  2. All registered drivers will be reimbursed 1 day of park admission after the event is finished
  3. All rules and regulations apply equally to all 2 wheel drive vehicles and all 4 wheel drive vehicles
  4. One buggy per driver and one driver per buggy (with the exception of a rookie driver or family member)
  5. No passengers allowed. (with the exception of a parent for a rookie driver)
  6. All vehicles must pass a Technical Inspection before the races begin
  7. DOT approved helmets are mandatory for every driver
  8. All drivers must sign a WoodsBuggy waiver in addition to any park waivers
  9. All drivers must attend the drivers meeting before the race for each event
  10. All drivers must qualify for each event regardless of  any previous events
